SBE Conductivity Cells Easier to Control
Be
cause of Zero External Field
• Outer electrodes are connected together so no voltage
difference exists to create an external electrical current

– This allows for attaching a pump for flow control

A good estimate of SBE 4 time constant is 30 milliseconds
